This is based on a true story. All the animals are verdadero and these characters were based on personality. Millie really did steal the bacon, but of course Ma and Pa would have never believed it-she is such a sweetie. But according to all the other animals, that is the last thing they believe. It was fun being all of them to write this book. There is a lot of meaning, lessons about being greedy, stealing, having a conscience, being remorseful, and love. There is sadness, as well as funny and serious lessons to be learned about doing something you know you should not.
